See Tauranga from a different perspective as you paddle at our own pace around the city’s vast and impressive coastline in our comfortable sea kayaks. With a variety of start and end points, our staff can tailor a journey to suit both you and the weather conditions. Who knows, you might even be guided to your destination by the dolphins that occasionally visit the harbour! All you need do when you reach your end destination is text us and the Waimarino taxi will pick you up and return you to your start point. This tour is the ultimate choice for the independent explorer.

• The Freedom Sea Kayak Tour is unguided.
• Tidal and weather assisted (as advised by staff).
• Fast, dry and stable sea kayaks used – singles or doubles available. Paddles, spray decks, buoyancy aid, paddle jackets and safety equipment provided.
• Advise on how to use the safety equipment given.
• Moderate to good fitness required.
• This tour operates in fair weather conditions. Wind conditions are extremely important and Waimarino does not operate sea kayak trips during winds over 20 knots. Please contact Waimarino for trip reports.
• The cooler or wetter the weather the more equipment Waimarino provides for the client.
• Prices include return transport from finish point of the tour back to your start point.
• Pick up/drop off vehicle transfers are available from & to your accommodation to Waimarino and/or the activity launch site. Vehicle transfers from & to your accommodation in Tauranga and Mount Maunganui are $25 per vehicle per collection point. Papamoa or Katikati areas are $50 per vehicle per collection point.
